Leamington shed goes up in flames

At 4.40am on Wednesday Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a home in Hellidon Close, Leamington where a shed was on fire.

On arrival the fire crews found a metal storage unit well alight and worked quickly to extinguish the blaze using a hose reel and jet.

As well as fire damage to the shed, the fire had spread and melted part of the window frame and some of the guttering on the property.

Smoke had also entered part of the house and the residents had evacuated their home before the fire service arrived.
