Labour MP Liz Kendall visited town for care summit
The event was hosted by Labour’s Warwick and Leamington parliamentary candidate Lynnette Kelly.
They were joined at the SYDNI Centre Summit by scores of representatives from the care sector, carers and service users.

Hide AdBoth listened to the views of the care community, and presented Labour’s proposals to join up the NHS and social care to get the best results for those that need it most.
Speaking after the summit Ms Kelly said: “It was great to have Liz visit Leamington to hear the views of the local care community.
“It is clear from what we heard today that carers aren’t getting the support they need and more is needed to be done.
“That’s why if elected I will work with Labour colleagues to combine health and social care, to look after the care of the whole person.”

Hide AdMs Kendall, who is the MP for Leicester West, said: “The families and care workers we heard from told me about the struggles they face and the need to help them by improving services and support.
“That is the strong message that I’ll be taking back to Westminster.”
