Kenilworth and Leamington fire crews called to fire in stables

Fire crews from Kenilworth and Leamington were called out to a fire at a stables.

At 10.24pm on Wednesday (April 8) both appliances from Kenilworth fire station and a crew from Leamington fire station were sent out after reports of stables on fire in Church Road in Honiley.

When the crews arrived the found that the fire involved an electrical appliance within a stable block, which also contained a wood chip boiler.

The fire had spread into the roof space.

Crews used hose reels to extinguish the fire and remained on scene cutting away and damping down ensuring all hot spots were extinguished.

There were no animals housed in the stables as they were used for storage.
