Housing firm wants views on plans for new estate

WELLESBOURNE people are being asked for their views on plans for a new estate which could bring an extra 14 homes to the village.

Banner Homes, which intends to submit an application for the site to Stratford District Council, is holding an exhibition at the Methodist Church in Bridge Street, Wellesbourne, on Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm.

Villagers will be able to view the firm’s draft plans and speak to members of its homes project team about any queries or concerns they may have.

The development in Lowes Lane could include up to 14 detached and semi-detached properties.

Mark Booth, regional managing director for Banner Homes Midlands, said: “Banner is, of course, aware of concern over the site’s future and wishes to develop a scheme which is acceptable to the majority and addresses wider local needs by working alongside the community.

“Plans have been prepared for an informal consultation event. The team and I are keen to receive feedback, so we hope that people will be able to attend our public exhibition to view and discuss the current proposals with us.”
