Fundraising Fridays raise hundreds

A WARWICK breast cancer survivor and her colleagues have dedicated their Fridays this month to a charity that’s particularly important to them.

Beverley Watson, owner of Aristocuts in Emscote Road, was off sick for most of last year because she was suffering from the condition.

Now back in action, she, her daughter Jessica and the rest of the salon’s team decided to set themselves the target of raising £250 for Breast Cancer Care by taking part in the charity’s Pink Fridays campaign.

Every Friday in October they have organised an event or run raffles and competitions to help reach their target - including a night at Envy bar in Leamington and the sale of cards and cakes provided by the Pampered Chef.

Jessica Watson said: “It’s our last day today and we’re pushing as hard as we can to raise as much as we can so hopefully lots of people will come in. It’s an extremely important cause to me.”
