Firm needs 10 new game programmers

SMARTPHONE app development firm Kwalee is looking to add ten experienced games programmers to its talented team in the coming months.

It is also hoping to recruit experienced artists.

These additions will more than double the size of the Leamington company’s development department and will enable a variety of games to be created very soon.

Lizzie Stabler, Kwalee’s brand evangelist, said: “We have so far built the foundations of the business, with our first mobile game to be released soon, and the company is growing amongst the other 13 gaming companies within ‘Silicon Spa’.

“We are fortunate to have very successful gaming veterans at Kwalee. “The company’s CEO is Codemasters’ very own founder, David Darling CBE. “The CMO of the company is Bruce Everiss who worked alongside David at Codemasters, as well as directing the marketing team at Imagine Software and Andrew Graham is our GamePlay Guru, who is most famous for designing and coding the smash hit game Micro Machines.

Suitable programmers for the jobs will have previously worked on iOS games, with Objective-C skills.

But the company is also excepting applications from experienced C++ programmers who are keen to work with Objective-C.
