Firefighters tackle field blaze
FIREFIGHTERS from Leamington and Atherstone tacked a blaze in field a off the Fosse Way near Moreton Morrell and Ashorne yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.
Two fields covering an area of 200 hectares, or 2,000,000 square metres, were well alight.
The fire, which started at around 2.30pm, was extinguished by about 6pm.
