Fire at derelict Warwick pub

FIREFIGHTERS called to a skip fire at a derelict pub in Warwick early this morning (Thursday September 27) found the building on fire.

A crew sent from Leamington fire station at 2.21am requested a second fire engine when it emerged the fire was in the ground floor of the Hobson’s Choice pub in Spinney Hill.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose to tackle the blaze, to which the police were also called. Crews had returned to the station by 4.21am.
