Fears mount for wellbeing of missing pregnant woman

Police are appealing for anyone who may know the whereabouts of a heavily pregnant woman last seen in Leamington almost two weeks ago.

Louise Byng, 40, of Dorridge, was last seen in Union Road on Wednesday September 15.

Solihull police have been trying to contact the mother-to-be, who is 39 weeks pregnant, through friends and family, but she remains missing.

Solihull Police Det Sergeant Neil Wood, said: “Louise is in the final stages of pregnancy and, as far as we know, has not sought any medical support or registered with a GP.

“Clearly this is a concern and we would like to make contact with her as soon as possible in order to offer professional help and support.”

Louise, also known as Louise Pinto, is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, with long curly black hair and blue eyes.

Police have issued a photo taken roughly ten years ago when she had blond hair. This is believed to still accurately reflect her facial appearance.

Det Sgt Wood added: “Louise is from Dorridge in Solihull but has friends in Leamington Spa and we believe that’s where she’s most likely to be. She is a very sociable lady, even with strangers, so we’d ask for anyone who thinks they may have seen or spoken to Louise to contact us immediately.”

Det Sgt Wood can be contacted on 0345 113 5000, extension 7921 6734.
