Fatal crash near Wellesbourne: lorry driver named

A lorry driver who died after a crash near Wellesbourne on Tuesday has been named by police as Lee Nicholas Bolah.

The 28-year-old from London was the only person in the lorry at the time of the incident, which occurred on the A429 between Wellesbourne and Ettington just before 3.30pm.

The blue Renault Artic lorry was travelling towards Wellesbourne near Red Hill Wood when, for unknown reasons, Mr Bolah appeared to have lost control and the lorry turned on its side, left the carriageway and crashed into a tree. He was declared dead at the scene.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the lorry before it occurred to contact Acting Police Sergeant Daniel Hicks by calling 101 ext 3775.
