Diamond Leamington couple love dancing the night away
Dance enthusiasts Peter and Hazel Griffin’s 60-year marriage has now taken them from Brighton to Benidorm.
The couple, of Kiln Close, Leamington, celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary yesterday (Thursday)and are soon jetting off to the Spanish costal resort on a holiday they’ll hope is as memorable at their aforementioned English honeymoon destination.
Meeting at a dance marque during the Saturday night Rock and Roll session at the Lights of Leamington event in 1953, former steel fabricator Peter and ex WHSmith employee Hazel were married at St Mary’s church within a year.
They have three children and six grandchildren and enjoy a good social life with their close circle of friends, which they say has been one of the key parts of their long and loving marriage.
