The work is being carried out to improve the junction at Leamington’s Ford Foundry site.

Cllr Peter Butlin, Warwickshire County Council’s portfolio holder for highways and transport, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during the road closures. These are necessary to reduce the overall length of time of the improvement works, and ultimately the overall delays experienced by motorists.”

Advance notices have been put up on site and diversions will be sign-posted. The emergency telephone number for residents and motorists to contact is 0800 032 9760.

Princes Drive Household Waste Recycling Centre will remain open with access to the site from the Park Drive and the Warwick New Road end of Princes Drive. Access will not be available from the Myton Road direction.

It is anticipated that the works will be completed in the spring. For up to date information visit the website at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/morrisonsroadworks
