A message on the unit's Facebook page posted yesterday (Sunday March 29) says that one PCSO and three police officers attended a location off Mill Hill in the afternoon.

The messages says: "Upon our arrival there were no bikes using the vast area of land.

"Within 15 minutes a scrambler was heard riding through an underpass towards the area of rough land where we were.

"The rider saw our fluorescent uniforms and made off at speed on a public footpath towards Coventry.

"PC Morrissey and PC Stevenson are a specialist off-road bike team based in Bedworth.

"Further random patrols will be carried out at this location to deter offences taking place.

"The safer neighbourhood team will be using a multi-agency approach to this dangerous ongoing issue."
