A teenager from Rugby has been charged with knife and drug offences.

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with:

• possession with intent to supply a drug of class A.

• possession with intent to supply a drug of class B.

• possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).

The charges follow an incident in Bridget Street in Rugby yesterday morning (Tuesday).
