Rugby man charged with drugs possession after police spot suspicious vehicle near Claverdon

A man from Rugby has been charged with possessing several different types of drugs after police spotted a suspicious vehicle near Claverdon.

On July 30 Warwickshire Police said on their Twitter page that they had arrested a 22-year-old from Rugby 'on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply after officers from the roads policing unit spotted a suspicious vehicle in Henley Rd near Claverdon'.

They said that they 'seized substances believed to be class A drugs and drug paraphernalia'.

On Monday, August 3 the police provided an update saying the suspect had now been charged.

They said: "Following this arrest on Wednesday (July 29), the suspect has been charged with possession of a cocaine, attempting to posses MDMA, attempting to possess ketamine, and driving without insurance.

"He will appear at Magistrates’ Court in Leamington on October 5".
