A drugs arrest was made as part of a 'County Lines' operation in Leamington.

Three people were stopped and searched on Thursday (February 4) after they were 'seen in suspicious circumstances' in Althorpe Street.

Leamington Police posted about the incident on their social media post.

They said: "Officers from SNT were out on plain clothes patrols for #OpSwitch, an ongoing operation to tackle County Lines drug dealing in Leamington.

"Officers stop searched three people, a male and two females after they were seen in suspicious circumstances on Allthorpe Street.

"One female was found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs and cash and was arrested on suspicion of Possession of Class A With Intent to Supply.

"The female was taken back to custody and interviewed and has since been released under investigation."
