Driver in Lutterworth arrested after fleeing his car in his slippers and tangerine dressing gown

A driver who fled his car in Lutterworth has been arrested by police – wearing his slippers and tangerine dressing gown.

The man was apprehended by bemused officers nearby on Monday afternoon (November 9) – and he didn’t have a valid driving licence or insurance.

And so his car was seized as a result.

“Have just detained a driver who fled from his vehicle in Lutterworth a short while ago, detained close-by - bizarrely, in his slippers and tangerine dressing gown,” tweeted Harborough police on Monday afternoon.

“Unfortunately for him, no valid driving licence or insurance.
