Car chase through Rugby ends with crash near Elliott's Field

Officers on patrol in Rugby on the night of September 30 arrested a man after a car allegedly failed to stop for them in Newbold Road.

The fleeing car then crashed into another vehicle on Leicester Road, near to Elliot’s Field Retail Park.

A man in the other vehicle suffered a minor shoulder injury.

A 32-year-old man from Coventry was arrested and later charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

He will appear in Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court on 30 October.
