Community grants for Whitnash organisations

Whitnash Commun-ity Forum voted last month to grant £600 to Whitnash Luncheon Club, which runs social events for elderly people in the town, to hire musicians and artists to entertain the club.

The forum also voted to give 31,518 to Whitnash Children’s Centre to run courses for parents on personal safety, home fore safety and food hygiene.

Children’s centre representative Helen Tupman told the forum there would be spaces for 36 parents to take part and a creche would run during sessions.

The forum voted not to pay £620 for a minibus to take teenagers to ‘samba’ football classes in Sydenham.
