Church to hold community event

The St Barnabas church fete will take place on Saturday September 8 from 2pm to 4pm.

Admission is free and there will be a wide range of attractions to suit all tastes and ages.

These include homemade cakes and refreshments; stalls selling various goods and produce including crafts, toys and gifts, face painting and games for children and a raffle and tombola with attractive prizes.

The fete is the latest in a series of special events being organised by St Barnabas to demonstrate that the church is alive and well.

The Rev Richard Awre said: “Come and join us, and see for yourself that we are thriving and are most definitely open for the business of Christian worship and community activity.”
