Children can help others be alert to fireworks dangers

CHILDREN from across Warwickshire can help their peers avoid the dangers of fireworks in the run-up to Bonfire Night by entering a poster competition.

Warwickshire County Council’s Trading Standards firework safety poem and poster competition has two categories this year - children in reception, year one and year two can create a firework safety poster and children in years three to six a firework poem or rhyme.

The ten winners - selected by Janet Faulkner, group manager of the council’s trading standards service - will be presented with a £10 book token each and their poem or poster will be used by the council to promote next year’s comptition.
