Car-related crime is up to east of Warwick district

Neighbourhood police teams have reported a recent rise in car-related crime in the rural villages to the east of Warwick district.

Between December 22 and February 20, some 19 thefts from vehicles were recorded: five in Stoneleigh, four in Bubbenhall, four in Baginton, three in Cubbington, two in the Old Milverton and Blackdown area and one in Offchurch.

Police community support officer Edward King said: “The message to residents is to please assist us in reducing crime by following a few simple steps.

“Remove valuables when your car is unattended, ensure that the car is securely locked and if you have a car alarm, please use it as a deterrent.”
