Bursary will help Elizabeth’s degree

An organisation that helps women in the sporting workplace has made its first bursary to a student at Warwickshire College’s Moreton Morrell campus, which specialises in agriculture, equine and arboreal studies.

Women in Racing’s chairwoman Julie Deadman presented Elizabeth Bushe with £1,000 (pictured above), who rides out for Newmarket trainer Don Cantillion. She will use the funds to help subsidise her Horseracing Industry foundation degree at the college, where she is in the second year of her four-year programme.

She was also successful in being awarded a bursary from the BHA (British Horseracing Authority) last year. For more information on Women in Racing and its bursary fund visit www.womeninracing.co.uk
