Arts festival hailed as a ‘great success’
MORE than 200 paintings, sculptures, pottery, wood carvings, photography and children’s artworks impressed visitors to the Marton Art Festival, which was held in the village at the weekend.
Sharon Edwards, who helped Joan Sherratt and Bill Buckler to organise the three-day event, said: “It was a great success. Thank you to all who attended and volunteered and also to Joan and Bill and artist Brian from Frankton, who produced an amazing ‘live’ painting over the weekend.”
Proceeds from the festival will to towards providing a water supply and toilet in St Esprit’s church in Marton.
