These include the development of Care and Repair services in Coventry to help older people repair and adapt their homes, allowing them to remain living independently, safely and securely.

In Warwickshire she has campaigned and developed with colleagues a wide variety of services including befriending, care and repair, handyperson and gardening, counselling and home help services that support vulnerable older people to remain living at home.

She has also helped to provide extensive information and advice services which help inform relatives and carers who are supporting their older relatives and friends.

Elizabeth said: “I have been both delighted and overwhelmed with the good wishes upon receiving this award. It has very much been a partnership with my colleagues and local statutory bodies to make a real difference to the lives of so many older people across the decades.”
