Online exposure vital for sellers, says Connells

With 95 per cent of home movers starting their property search online (YouGov, January 2014), Connells in Chase Meadow is advising sellers to choose an estate agency that will maximise the exposure of their property online.

Research shows that unless properties are featured on the two most popular property search websites - identified as Rightmove and Zoopla - sellers could miss out on up to a third of buyers looking online. 31 per cent of buyers searching for property online didn’t visit Rightmove and another 36 per cent didn’t visit Zoopla (Source: UKOM Media Tel October 2013) so it pays to go with an agency that places properties on both sites.

Laura Wilson, manager of Connells in Chase Meadow, said: “Here at Connells we understand the importance of effectively marketing your property online. It is essential that sellers instruct an agent that provides the best exposure for their property and that it reaches the biggest possible audience. This includes ensuring that their property is being promoted on not just one of the two biggest property websites but on both, which of course Connells does.”

Customers can rest assured that with Connells their property will be featured on the two most popular and visited property portals - Rightmove and Zoopla (including PrimeLocation) - as well as on the Connells network of websites.

Laura added: “It’s clear to see that those homes that get less exposure therefore get less viewings and interest. We are committed to providing the best service to our customers and this includes putting their home in front of as many potential buyers as possible.”
