Knight Frank agrees more than £12m sales in January

The Stratford office of Knight Frank is enjoying a busy start to 2014, having already agreed sales on more than £12 million of property this January, on properties ranging from £600,000 to £1.5 million.

James Way, head of Knight Frank’s Stratford office said: “This is a fantastic result for the office and demonstrates that the property market is sparking back into life.

“The signs of improvement in the general economy have definitely filtered through to the property market locally, and activity levels are the best we’ve seen for five years.

“Viewings are up 30 per cent compared to this time last year and we’ve exchanged contracts on more than £4 million worth of property in January alone.

Mr Way added: “Although we are not out of the proverbial ‘woods’ just yet and sensible pricing is still key to finding a buyer, I am optimistic about the year ahead.

“I would urge anyone looking to move, especially those currently renting, to buy back into the property market soon, before prices rise and they miss out.”
