Connells continues its expansion in lettings

Since the start of 2012, Connells has been opening new lettings branches nationwide with the aim of tripling the size of its lettings operation by the end of the year.

Tim Wardley, divisional managing director for Connells, said: “We are continuing to make great progress with our lettings operation in Warwickshire. Through our estate agency branches, Connells already has a strong local presence in the area. Adding lettings to our range of services was a natural progression and we are certainly seeing a strong market for it.”

According to recent figures from Rightmove’s Consumer Rental Forecast, rental demand continues to be high with a third of tenants expecting to be renting for three or more years.

“We have found that national figures on the continued demand for rental accommodation also ring true at a local level,” said Tim.

“Connells decision to open so many new lettings branches, and build upon what we can offer to local people, is based on the demand for these services.

“Many local investors and landlords who buy property through Connells also wish to let their properties through us.

“Connells can now offer an end-to-end service for these individuals, from buying and buy-to-let mortgages, to letting and managing the property.”
