Rob Morgan, from Leamington, officially opened the doors to Space Healthcare on June 24, a state-of-the-art eye hospital, dental practice and opticians in the Clarendon Avenue area of the town.

The venture, which marks an investment of more than £1.1million, is equipped with the Technolas Excimer Workstation 217P, the only laser to deliver the breakthrough Supracor treatment. As a result of installing the technology, laser eye care patients can benefit from quicker treatment and faster healing times.

Rob, who as a qualified dentist for 29 years is part of the Space Healthcare team, said: “We have combined cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and treatment facilities with extensive medical experience, to deliver exceptional patient care across all areas of the business.

“The launch of Space Healthcare is an industry milestone for the region and a major benefit for residents in and around Leamington, who are looking for the best laser eye surgery and most accurate diagnostic process currently available on the market.”

Unlike the majority of surgeries that only treat short and long sightedness, Space has the technology and expertise to treat people with reading prescriptions, also known as presbyopia. A team of qualified medical practitioners will work across the company, who collectively boast 80 years’ experience.

Rob added: “In addition, our surgeons can carry out more than just simple procedures that are medically required and correct patients’ sight by treating medical conditions, such as cataract and corneal problems.”
