Author at launch event for women’s network

One of the most connected personalities in the City of London will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural event of a new Coventry and Warwickshire network for businesswomen.

Leading businesswoman Vanessa Vallely, author of the highly successful new book Heels of Steel, will be the highlight at the first event organised by LadiesFirst Professional Development.

The business has been launched by lifelong friends Lisa Kennedy and Julie Richardson to provide an all-inclusive platform for women’s professional development.

Lisa said: “Our mission is to make LadiesFirst events all-inclusive and meaningful. Our guests will be able to network and establish contacts with people who can make a difference to their businesses and careers.”

Vanessa is chief executive and founder of wearethecity.com (WATC), a vehicle to help other women connect and grow both professionally and personally. Before that she had a 25-year career in finance and banking in the City and there are now 10,000 members of WATC.
