Waterway shows wind their way to Warwickshire

A CANAL-travelling theatre company are promising lively, rumbustious and fun performances as they make their along the waters of south Warwickshire this month.

Mikron Theatre, the only company to tour theatre nationally by canal, covers the inland waterways on board the group’s vintage narrowboat, Tyseley, bringing shows to unlikely venues such as pubs, beer gardens and village greens.

Beer Street, a show about, well, beer (and brewing), will appropriately be performed at the Wharf Inn in Fenny Compton on Sunday July 24 and at Rowington village hall on Tuesday August 2.

And Hell and High Water, which tells the story of the building of the Bridgewater Canal and is accompanied by live music, will arrive at The Boat in Birdingbury Wharf on Monday July 25 and at the Waterman pub in Hatton on Wednesday July 27. All performances begin at 7.30pm.
