See international pianist at south Warwickshire village

A MONTH on from its annual beer festival that raised thousands of pounds for charity, Eathorpe village hall is once again set to entertain crowds - this time with a classical piano concert.

Andrean Lazarov from Plovdiv in Bulgaria will return this weekend after a hugely successful visit last year.

As well as his speciality, the work of Rachmaninov, Andrean will perform pieces by Beethoven, Haydn and Chopin.

Being more used to playing in venues like the Albert Hall in London, the Athenaeum in Athens and the Teatro Real in Madrid, he enjoys taking up the chance to play in more intimate settings like village halls when he can.

Speaking to Sue Burt and David French, who organise events at the hall, when the recitals were arranged, Amdrean said: “I really enjoyed myself the last time I was here. The response was warm and wonderful and it was great to entertain an audience that mixed up classical music fans with others who had never been to a concert before.”

There will be two performances - on Saturday at 8pm and on Sunday at 4pm - and after each one, audience members are invited to stay for a chat with Andrean over wine and canapés.

Tickets cost £12.50 (£11 concessions), including a glass of sparkling wine or soft drink and canapés. To book, call 632575 or 632242 or email [email protected]
