ONE of the most innovative physical theatre companies working in Britain is returning to Warwick Arts Centre this month – with a play that owes quite a lot to its earlier audiences.

Creative ideas pooled for play at Warwick Arts Centre

It was in February last year that the centre’s resident producers Ed Collier and Paul Warwick invited members of the Gecko Theatre Company to stage a work-in-progress residency in front of a live crowd.

Critics in the audience were able to watch the creative process evolve and make suggestions for future plot development.

The result is Missing, a journey into the depths of one woman’s psyche as the truth about her forgotten past begins to explode all around her.

The play features a wild mixture of movement and music composed by Dave Price, who has worked with Regina Spektor and Aqualung and recently provided the score for the RSC’s Measure for Measure.

Other works have been developed since as part of a new programme entitled Triggered.

Missing can be seen at the arts centre from Wednesday until Saturday. Ticket prices vary. For more information visit www.warwickartscentre.co.uk or call 024 7652 4524.
