Leamington’s finest perform in park festival

YOUNG talent from schools in Leamington and some of the town’s finest musicians will come together for a new music festival today (Sunday).

Doin’ it in the Dell takes place in the Dell off Warwick Place from 1pm to 7pm.

Bands including The Swaps, Mr Teeth, Odyssey Blue and the Leam Jazz Collective and solo artists including Shanade Morrow, Andi Wolf and Matt Hernadez will feature across two stages.

The festival will also include an outdoor performance of The Austerity Games by the award-winning Tell Tale Theatre and various stalls.

Organiser James Knight said: “Dedicated volunteers have recently helped turn the Dell into a well tended and beautifully planted haven.

“By bringing together so many exceptional local performers, we’re hoping the festival can build on this community spirit as well as showing Leamington what a valuable asset the Dell is.”

Admission is free and the event has been by sponsored by Community Spaces, promoted by The Friends of the Dell and supported by Warwick District Council.
