Each Tuesday during the school holidays, children aged eight and above can take part in free activities which will give them the chance to explore artefacts, learn how to handle objects and discover interesting facts.

Next week (August 4), participants will find out how new technologies such as 3D printing can be used to help people explore objects and artworks in the collections. On August 11, they will help the art gallery team by making an activity for one of the Summer Art Clubs. Photography is the theme of the session on August 18, while on August 25 the session will look at creating exhibitions.

The Young Curators’ Club runs from 2pm to 3pm. Places are free but must be booked: call 742700.
