Discover trench art at Compton Verney
Compton Verney gallery near Kineton is displaying a selection of Warwickshire-based ‘trench art’ - items made from the by-products of 20th and 21st century warfare.
The collection includes decorated shell cases, carved sections of a propeller, rifle cartridges and embroidered flour sacks from the USA to occupied Belgium, created by servicemen, civilians and prisoners of war from more than 20 countries.
