Creative souls can share their talents at Kenilworth gallery

ARTISTS in south Warwickshire are being invited to showcase their talents at a new gallery in Kenilworth that opened last week.

Helen Clues and Shona Perkins have been running workshops, art classes and children’s clubs at their town centre studio for some time - but now the pair have expanded their venture and opened Gallery 25 last Tuesday.

Helen said: “We believe there is a wealth of talent in this area and we are offering an affordable gallery space to local artists and makers.

“With people exploring their creative side in the current economic climate, we wanted to offer somewhere that people can share their work on a manageable scale without having to commit to producing a large body of work, usually required for a large gallery.”

As well as holding regular Friday art clubs for children, the two artists organise craft parties and travel to schools, while Helen is planning a project in Burton Green for Warwickshire Open Week this summer, where her work will be displayed along the Greenway as part of an HS2 awareness campaign.

Gallery 25 is at Beading Crafty in The Square, Kenilworth. To find out more, call 858442.
