A golden blend of creativity, character and coffee on show

Warwick’s distinctive Mitchell Gallery is hosting a new exhibition of striking images crafted using coffee.

Art by Jinxy is on show at the Church Street gallery until July 31. The characterful artist, hailing from Birmingham, works from his studio in the city.

Jinxy has enjoyed international recognition over the years, having sold work in the Middle East, India, South Africa as well as a great success here in the UK.

Recently Jinxy has enjoyed great success in London at The Coffee Project Exhibition where his work gained the accolade of winner of the public vote. He was a finalist in the competitioon to show work at Tate Britain.

Jinxy has also been invited to be resident artist at the opening of the new Harvey Nichols store in Birmingham in September, to launch its new coffee brand.

As well as painting actors and rock stars, Jinxy enjoys working on private commissions of ‘real’ people, and he will once again be creating his modern masterpieces at Mitchell gallery.

Gallery manager and curator Toni Storey said: “Jinxy is an exciting creative force and huge talent and we are delighted to be showing his work here again. It is always exciting to have another artist painting live here as our customers really love to see an artist at work.”
