Lively and prestigious performers will kick start Leamington Music’s ninth winter season.
The “lively, young” K’antu Ensemble will open the latest season with a show to celebrate 450 years since Shakespeare’s birth.
Starting at 7.30pm on October 7, the award-winning ensemble will be joined by Clifford Rose - founder member of the Royal Shakespeare Company for recitals and speeches.
Festival director Richard Phillips said: “I am delighted that this lively young group will open another prestigious series in Warwick.
“We first heard the group as students at Birmingham Conservatoire and they again impressed us when they performed at the Unitarian Chapel in Warwick in summer 2013.”
The ensemble has appeared at the Symphony Hall and London at Kings Place, Cadogan Hall as well as a performance on the South Bank.
The popular and long-running music series will continue with the Dufay Collective and singer Clara Sanabras on November 4 and Stile Antico on December 9.
Next year, She’Koyokh, Allegri Quartet and The Bach Players will all make appearances as part of events, and an international string quartet series will run at Leamington’s Pump Room.
Tickets are available from Leamington Town Hall, St Mary’s church or from 334418.
