Teenager from Warwick Gates has been accepted for a British Gymnastics apprenticeship

A teenager from Warwick Gates has been accepted for a British Gymnastics apprenticeship, at her club Leamington and Warwick Gymnastics.

After her disappointment at not being able to take her exams due to the lockdown, Ellie Wall was delighted to receive the news that she has something to work towards.

The 16-year-old is passionate about the sport and is a young team leader at the club.

Her ambition is to become a sports physiotherapist.

Ellie's mum, Debbie Hands-Wall, an NHS nurse at Warwick Hospital, said: "I am so proud of my hard-working daughter's achievements."

Abby O'Neill, head coach at Leamington and Warwick Gymnastics Club, said: "It’s been an absolute pleasure to nurture Ellie’s obvious passion and talent and see her love for gymnastics progress from a hobby to a career over the last ten years.

"She lives our club values and we’re delighted to welcome her as an apprentice.
