Warwick Tae kwon do Club’s Jamie Simpson rounded off a great year by helping England’s junior team to victory in the home international event at the British Championships in Worcester.
Heavyweight Simpson, 15, was part of the four-strong team which beat Northern Ireland in the first round thanks to three bout wins and a draw.
Two wins and two draws then saw them overcome Scotland in the final.
Simpson, who attends Southam High School, drew praise from his instructor Cassie Oury who said: “We are all really proud of him. He he has worked really hard this year.”
