Berlin-based Johannes Schultz won the Senior event at the first tournament of the season staged by Lillington Free Church TTC.
Working temporarily in the area, Schultz has been practising at the host club.
And his efforts paid off as he took the final in straight games against Kosma Kustra of Bromsgrove at the St Nicholas Leisure Centre in Warwick.
Of the 36 trophies on offer 18 went to the host club and one of their most impressive performers was Adam Pulman who took the junior title.
He got the better of his more-fancied clubmate Kit Turner 11-5 in the fifth in an exciting final.
Rugby’s Sam Cafearo showed his talents to secure the Under-15 final against Ben Pearce of Blaenafon.
And Free Church’s Ciara Hancox did the same to land the Under-13 event beating another Blaenafon player Callum Meredith in straight games.
The afternoon’s Graded competitions were fiercely contested with Church’s Chris Mulligan taking the A event 11-7 in the fifth against St Georges’ Mark Jackson.
Adam Cofler of Free Church, who is still only 14 years of age, lifted the B event after seeing off the experienced Rob Warnes of Millennium in Banbury.
He won in straight games, although the first was clinched 23-21.
Pulman continued his form from the morning to take the C event by beating Ben Pearce.
Long Eaton’s Jack Finney nailed Sam Cafearo in the Improvers’ final when he won in five having been trailing 2-0.
Balenavon’s Jack Freegard took the Beginners event by beating Church’s Ricardo Bolanos in the final.
n Two Free Church youngsters entered the Cirencester tournament last Sunday and returned after impressive performances.
Lewis Singleton put in an eye-catching series of matches finishing a highly creditable fifth out of 18 entrants.
James Robertson beat Oscar Pollard in the Junior Consolation final.
