Racing Club Warwick ended a run of defeats albeit with a real Jekyll and Hyde performance in beating Bolehall Swifts at Townsend Meadow.
In a rousing start, the Racers had the ball in the net four times inside the first 14 minutes.
Just two minutes in and a corner was headed home by Tom Reynolds only for the referee to rule it out for a foul.
Two minutes later, Wade Malley did make it 1-0, smartly half-volleying past the keeper after a superb run and cross from Smith.
In the 12th minute, Racing doubled their lead, Ash Buswell heading in from six yards after Tez Morton’s corner had been nodded back by Matt Warner.
A minute later and the ball was in the net again courtesy of Malley but this time play was called back for offside.
The rest of the half saw Bolehall settle and create one or two chances that stand-in keeper Josh Turton smothered well.
Straight after the restart, Malley fired over from a tight angle before Bolehall hit back, the impressive Leo Thompson reducing the deficit with a far-post header.
Bolehall equalised when Thompson beat Jamie Hancocks to fire across Turton and into the bottom corner.
From a position of strength, Racing now looked likely to implode and matters were made worse when a late tackle from Chris Hayden saw them reduced to ten.
Bolehall could have snatched the game with five minutes to go but their striker dragged his shot wide with just Turton to beat and in the dying seconds Racers made them pay when substitute Jordon Mckenzie outpaced the last man to coolly slot home.
Racing Club entertain Heather St Johns tomorrow.
