This morning, returning from the town centre in Warwick at around 8.30am, walking along by St Mary’s Church and the Court House towards Priory Park I was absolutely astounded to see a traffic warden writing out a parking ticket for a Warwickshire County Council van.
The first thing that springs to mind is, I believe people get two hours free parking up until 10am to park without a further ticket. The second point is who is going to pay the fine? It will obviously us the Warwickshire County Council tax payer. Isn’t this ridiculous? This is yet another example of the council using tax payers’ money to improve statistics, increase revenue and justify their job role. The street was practically empty. Bring back the human being with common sense!
