THE Warwick Twitter movement is gathering momentum, and raising money for charity in the process.
In March a meeting was arranged between all the Warwick-based users of social networking site Twitter, called the Warwicktweetup.
It proved to be a hit and spawned a website and demand for a second meeting, which took place at Underwood Wines recently.
Co-organiser Graham Todd, of Underwood Wines said: “May 5 saw the long awaited sequel to the overnight success of Warwicktweetup which came about after a conversation on twitter that went viral in minutes.
“We worked very hard in the weeks between Tweetup one and two and as the last few things came together in the final minutes we wondered whether our efforts were going to be worth it.
“The tweets to us and amongst attendees were amazing and the support was quite overwhelming.”
Plans for Warwicktweetup three are in motion, with people asked to do the Heroes Run on June 5.
