The ranking has come from Channel 4’s ‘UK’s Best Places to Live’ which aired last month.

The programme, which was presented by Sarah Beeny, looked at a range of data including earnings, job prosperity, health and issues such as anxiety to show where, in 2016, would show the best quality of life for those who are aged between 20 and 29 years old.

The programme ranked the top 50 places to live in the UK.

Andrew Mobbs, leader of Warwick District Council, is pleased with the high ranking of the Warwick district.

He said: “Warwick district is one of the top places to live for people aged 0-109 not just for people aged 20-29.

“This is because we benefit from such wonderful towns, heritage, parks and gardens and of course we have a thriving local economy.

“There are also a number of business headquarters in the district as well as employment opportunities for young people living in the district, which shows so there is a mix of a wonderfully pleasant area with employment, heritage and the town centres, which all make it a great place to live.

“The result from the programme builds on why I am so immensely proud of our district. You can make stats say anything but Warwick district really is a great place to work, live and enjoy.”
