Two men were taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Kenilworth yesterday evening (Tuesday March 14).

The crash happened at the junction between Leamington Road and Bullimore Grove. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the crash at around 6.25pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found the driver of one of the cars trapped. Working with firefighters, the man was cut free.

“The 55 year old had a head injury and a number of fractures. He was immobilised, had a pelvic binder fitted and had his other fractures splinted before being taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire.

“The driver of the other car, a 41 year old man had suffered relatively minor injuries, but due to the nature of the collision was also taken to the major trauma centre as a precaution.”
