The trophy winners of this year’s Kenilworth Carnival held on Saturday July 2 have been announced.
13 floats and walkers made up this year’s procession, which left from the Brays car park in Kenilworth Castle at 1pm before eventually making its way to the top of Abbey Fields by 2.45pm.
Town mayor Cllr Richard Davies said: “I think the Carnival went really well on the day.
“We didn’t have as many floats as we’ve had in the past but we sometimes have lean years and sometimes more demand for floats than we can cope with.
“The quality of the floats this year was exceptional, as were the walkers.
“I’d like to praise the safety marshals as well, who are often forgotten. If it wasn’t for them there would be no carnival.”
Organisers wished to thank everyone who was involved this year, whether they were on a float, walking in the procession or simply lining the streets.
