Police were continuing their search of the River Leam yesterday (Monday) for Polish national Pawel Przydalski who was last seen in Leamington town centre on Saturday at around 9.25pm.
Mr Przydalski, 26, is believed to have entered the river near to the York Road bridge and was seen struggling in the current.
A full search operation began with assistance from the fire service, ambulance and specialist search teams.
The specialist search has continued today and although police cannot rule out the possibility that Mr Przydalski managed to escape from the river, the investigation is concentrating on the section of river from the York Road bridge downstream to the Prince’s Drive bridge - although there are some shallow areas the water is deep in places with strong currents.
