Fashion and charity will walk hand in hand down the catwalk next month at the return of the popular Bodies & Co annual show.

The event at Leamington’s Spa Centre on Thursday November 13 and Friday November 14 is now in its 35th year and features more than 50 male and female models, aged between six and 77.

Around 1,200 people are expected to attend across the two-days to see an eclectic mix of designs from almost 30 fashion retailers from Kenilworth, Leamington and Warwick, presented in a series of professionally choreographed sets.

This year, designs will include lingerie, evening wear, teenage wear, menswear, children’s wear, dresses and coats, celebrating the best of local fashion talent. Proceeds from ticket sales at both shows will go to The Poppy Appeal and The Children’s Air Ambulance Service. Last year Molly Olly’s Wishes and Young Carers each received £7,000.

Event organiser and comperé Jenni Fuller said: “Each year we ask our models to choose the charities we will support and generally we split approximately £14,000, generated from ticket sales and the raffle, between the charities they select.

“We are also very fortunate in that many local businesses are generous enough to donate some enticing prizes for the raffle. Our goal is to entertain our loyal supporters and showcase regional fashion talent while fundraising for special causes. We’re thrilled by the range of fashion being showcased this year!”

Tickets cost £13 and the shows start at 7.30pm on both evenings, finishing around 10pm.

Rehearsals for the show start around 10 weeks before and are managed by Jenni and her team of choreographers who are also instructors at Bodies & Co fitness groups.

Jenni added: “There is a great camaraderie between our models, some have been involved with us from a young age - our youngest and newest models are just six years old. They all treat the fashion shows very professionally and work extremely hard not only on the night but in the weeks of hard rehearsals leading up to the shows.”
